Brattle Consultants Contribute to Transgrid Report on Australia’s Clean Energy Future

As energy policies and the energy industry evolve, transmission will be an essential piece of Australia’s transition to a clean energy future in a wide range of plausible scenarios. Brattle consultants have contributed to a Transgrid report on Australia’s energy system transformation.
The report, “Energy Vision: A Clean Energy Future for Australia,” uses evidence-based, data-driven insights to explore six possible futures for Australia’s energy system over the next 30 years. Brattle, along with several other organizations and independent experts, assisted Transgrid in modeling the implications – and the opportunities – of the potential scenarios, which range from futures that reflect current trends to outlooks in which Australia goes beyond meeting its decarbonization goals. A Brattle team including Principals Johannes Pfeifenberger and Dr. Toby Brown facilitated the development of the future energy scenarios.
