Global Arbitration Review Ranks The Brattle Group as a Top 10 Leading Firm for International Arbitration Expert Witnesses
The Brattle Group has once again been named to the Global Arbitration Review’s “GAR 100: Expert Witness Power Index.” The annual Expert Witness Power Index rankings are determined based on several factors from a two-year research period, including the number of hearings each firm participated in, the average value of a firm’s hearings, and the reputational clout.
During the research period, spanning from August 2022 to August 2024, Brattle worked on 45 unique hearings, and had the fourth-highest average claim value among ranked firms, at $700 million. Notable work during this period included providing analysis in an arbitration where Germany’s largest gas importer Uniper was awarded over €13 billion in a Stockholm-seated arbitration against Gazprom over undelivered gas and providing analysis forming the basis for a $400 million award to Enka Renewables in relation to a hydro energy project.
“It is an honor to once again be recognized among the world’s leading experts in this area,” said Richard Caldwell, Principal and International Arbitration Practice Leader. “We look forward to building on our success in both commercial and investor-state engagements in the year ahead.”
