Academic Advisor Shannon Anderson Named UC Davis’ Michael and Joelle Hurlston Presidential Chair
Brattle Academic Advisor Shannon Anderson has been named the inaugural recipient of the Michael and Joelle Hurlston Presidential Chair, which is a first-of-its-kind endowed faculty chair position at University of California, Davis.
Brattle Academic Advisor Shannon Anderson has been named the inaugural recipient of the Michael and Joelle Hurlston Presidential Chair, which is a first-of-its-kind endowed faculty chair position at University of California, Davis.
The distinguished position was created with a $1.5 million gift from alumni Michael Hurlston and Joelle Hurlston. The chair funds will support teaching, research, graduate fellowships, and outreach for the UC Davis Graduate School of Management.
Professor Anderson teaches courses in management accounting and internal management controls. She holds degrees in business economics and engineering and her research spans these fields, covering topics such as cost accounting, performance measurement, incentive contracting, supply chain contracting, and operations management. Prior to joining UC Davis, Dr. Anderson was a faculty member at the University of Michigan and Rice University.
