The Brattle Group Recognized As One Of The World’s Top Firms For Competition Economics By Global Competition Review

For the 10th consecutive year, The Brattle Group has been named one of the world’s top firms for competition economics by Global Competition Review (GCR).

Led by Washington, DC-based Principal James Reitzes, Brattle’s antitrust and competition practice boasts 61 economic experts across its offices in North America, Europe, and Australia. This practice is supported by a vast network of outside experts, including academics from prominent institutions such as Columbia University, Stanford University, Harvard Law School, the London School of Economics, UC Berkeley, Georgetown University, and Northeastern University.

“It’s an honor to be featured as one of the top competition economics consultancies by GCR,” remarked James Reitzes. “Our firm is incredibly proud of the innovative work that we do for our diverse set of clients, as well as the reputation we’ve built within the marketplace.”

In 2016, Brattle experts worked on 26 antitrust litigation matters, two mergers that proceeded on to a second request or Phase II investigation, and 20 government investigations. The firm’s expert analysis and testimony has been heard in U.S. federal and state courts, as well as Canadian and European tribunals. Several of the governmental matters relate to competition in European, Canadian, and U.S. financial, energy, and telecommunications markets.

The Brattle Group recently augmented its competition practice with the hire of Principal Andy Harington, who is a recognized expert in the quantification of efficiencies based in the Toronto office. The firm also recently opened a Sydney office, which will provide support on competition and other matters to its clients in the Asia-Pacific region.

GCR’s Economics 21 ranks firms using several criteria, including size of practice, number of nominations to Who’s Who Legal: Competition, reputation, and work over the past year.
