Brattle Principal Peter Fox-Penner to Judge “Sustainable 16” Group of Colleges and Universities in an Environmental March Madness Competition

Brattle principal Peter Fox-Penner will participate as a judge in Enviance, Inc.’s first-ever “March Madness Tournament for Environmental Studies.” The competition, designed in a format similar to the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament, will evaluate sixteen colleges and universities that demonstrate academic excellence in environmental studies. The “Sustainable 16” were selected from a highly competitive field of applicants and have been recognized among the top environmental studies programs in the United States.

In order to advance to the next rounds of the tournament - the “Environmental Eight,” the “Final Four,” and beyond - faculty and students from the Sustainable 16 are being asked to support their entries with essays, social media, or video submissions describing why they should be named the National Champion.

Dr. Fox-Penner is one of five expert judges from other well-respected organizations including CH2M HILL, Enviance, Trinity Consultants, and Valero. The tournament is sponsored by Enviance, a leading provider of Environmental ERP software. For more information on the tournament, or to see a full list of the “Sustainable 16” schools, please visit the Enviance website.
