Peter Fox-Penner to Present at the Center for Strategic & International Studies Conference on Changes in the Electricity Sector

Brattle principal Peter Fox-Penner has been selected to participate in the upcoming Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) conference, “Electricity in Transition: Technology, Markets and Regulation,” taking place on September 4, 2014 in Washington, DC.

Dr. Fox-Penner will participate in a panel to discuss the major changes that are underway in the electricity sector, and the challenges faced by traditional players in the electric utility industry, ranging from merchant generators and vertically-integrated utilities to state and federal regulators. The conference will address the commercial and technological advances impacting the electricity business and preview future changes. It will also address the reevaluation of the current regulatory system, examining the past, present, and future of the interplay between markets and regulation in the electricity sector.
